After working in health care for over 2 decades, we believed that much of the current healthcare system works better for the insurance company than it does for the patient. In other words, in many ways…it’s broken. We knew there had to be a better way. So, Marshall Health was born. Based on a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, we are committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive, patient-focused care that is cost-effective, transparent and time-efficient.
For an annual fee, you will get unlimited access to our primary health services (see “our services” for more details).
Complicated itemized bills
When you call our office you will get a live person, if not immediate you will receive a call back within a maximum of 24 hours – calls will be triaged and responded to based-on priority
You will not get a call center operated remotely, with operators who are entirely unfamiliar with your care, and who you are, as a person.
Though we will have a patient portal for your convenience, you will not be directed to that portal every time you have a question or concern – we will call you and speak to you and treat you as you deserve to be treated.
Without question the best healthcare delivery is bi-directional in which the patient and the provider are focused on the best possible outcomes. We look forward to meeting you and working together.
I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in family health. I have over 24 years in the field. My path to this place, started early in life. Growing up in a working-class family, my father a police officer and my mother a school secretary, I was taught to hold people in healthcare in high regard. But an early trauma taught me another important lesson. My grandfather suffered a massive stroke during open heart surgery, leaving him partially paralyzed with minimal function. His life, and my family’s life, was changed forever from that day forward. Being just a boy I was old enough to see what was happening but had no capability to understand the “why”, the “how”, or the “what now”?
This helped cement a desire and drive to pursue a career in healthcare and help people to understand the “why”, the “how” and the “what now”. I have had many incredible experiences during my career including working in a Heart Transplant ICU as well as 3 different Emergency Departments, additionally serving in the United States Air Force as a flight nurse during Operation’s Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Deep Freeze (over a 6-year period).
I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with over 9 years of experience. My desire to be a nurse comes from the fact that my mother was a nurse and from a very early age exposed me to the practice, its value and impact on people and health. I have been lucky to have many interesting and diverse experiences throughout my career path. These have included working with many primary care practices, working at a nursing home during the height of Covid, a practice focused on OB/GYN, to a multi-year stint as a peer educator at Planned Parenthood. After working together for multiple years, I joined Ryan in his new practice as we share many common beliefs and practices…being hands on, loving to jump in and figure things out, and a belief we can always do better on behalf of our patients. With a husband, three amazing children and a busy career that I enjoy, there is not much time for “other stuff’. But if there was, you’d find me with a paintbrush and a canvas in my hand or new cake creation in the oven.
